Inhale and Exhale – I Think That’s Going to Be My New Mantra

Today is the day before Halloween or “HalloQUEEN” as my three and a half year old niece, Olive, would say.

It’s also my oldest brother’s thirty-second birthday.

I have a large conference paper submission due today.

Tomorrow, I leave for Mississippi on a field trip. Yes, I’m a senior in college, and I still go on field trips. I’m more than okay with that. I wonder if this will be another city and state to toss onto the pile of places I need, want, or could live.

Well, back to today – I’m dressed in my roommate’s striped mustard-colored soft tee, cardigan, and thick scarf. I’m leaving the house with both a mug of black coffee and a carrier mug of green tea. A coconut-almond Kind bar, two apples, and a banana are in the inside pocket of my big brown leather purse. Off to work, class, work, class, class, class, and life I go.
